Tony Abeyta est un artiste Navajo né en 1965 à Gallup au Nouveau Mexique. Dès son plus jeune age, il a proclamé son désir de devenir artiste.
Il a étudié dans diverses école d'art, notament l'institut des Beaux Arts de Chicago, puis de Baltimore. Il a poursuivi à l'université de New York
